The Gangotri Glades Cricket Ground ((カンナダ語:ಗಂಗೋತ್ರಿ ಗ್ಲೇಡ್ಸ್ )]), located in Mysore, Karnataka, is a cricket stadium in India, located on the campus of the University of Mysore. It was renamed Srikantadatta Narasimha Raja Wadeyar Ground upon Prince of Mysore Kingdom Prince Srikanta Wadiyar. The Chamundi hills provide an idyllic backdrop, the Kukkarahalli lake is just a big-hit away and the ground itself has trees ringing the boundary. It has a seating capacity of 15,000 but one can also watch from the trees. It was constructed by the University of Mysore. In 1997, the Karnataka State Cricket Association entered into a 20-year agreement with the university to develop and maintain the ground as part of its efforts to promote the game in smaller centres. It was in 2007 that a new pavilion complex was constructed and the stadium got a facelift, making it fit to host Ranji Trophy matches. This ground is the third home ground for the Karnataka Cricket Team after the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium and Karnataka State Cricket Association Stadium, Hubli. This ground is covered with Bermuda Grass. ==History and Development== The University of Mysore needed a quality cricket ground in Mysore and so they started constructing the stadium in 1996 and finished it in 1997,just in time for the 1997 Women's Cricket World Cup and hosted a game between Denmark women and Pakistan women and later Karnataka State Cricket Association made a 20-year deal to maintain and develop this ground. This wicket is most suitable for batsmen and also can be advantageous to bowlers due to its turning track. This pitch is also bouncy and pacy. Many Games which are held here are high scoring games. Wickets throng for the Fast Bowlers who play here. First there is some swing and pace on the track and bowlers have an advantage, but as the game progresses it suits the batsmen. 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Srikantadatta Narasimha Raja Wadeyar Stadium」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
